Music Hour at Camp Nathanael

They may never record a song with a record label but I’d take the music being sung at music hour at camp any day over some of the stuff that’s being released. You see, these kids aren’t doing it for fame or fortune, they just love to make a joyful noise. And although there are a few times when quality may be lacking, that is usually super-ceded by heart. No one is ever laughed at or made fun of at camps music hour. Instead it’s enthusiastic applause and pats on the back when a camper finishes his or her special. Dick Bowers used to say that during any given week “a star could be born”. Of course there’s always that chance of being picked by the music committee to sing on the radio program that is produced every week of summer camp. “The Voice of Camp Nathanael” can be heard on two local radio stations each Saturday morning. We invite you to gather round and tune in.
i love music hour at camp. i dont participate in it but i cheer every person on that goes up there because i know i wouldnt have the guts go do that in front of everyone. i just returned from the middle school 20-27 camp week. it was my fourth year as a camper and i am going into the eighth grade, and i dont know about everyone else at camp but when saturday comes i just dont want to get back on those buses. but hopefully when i go into high school i can work at camp.

It’s Savanna from middle school week, 22-26. I just wanted to say that camp was amazing and I will surely be returning! I love and pray for you all! What your doing is a blessing and I am forever changed(in a good) because of everyone at Camp Nathanael! Thank you all so much. See you soon.

I really missed it in High school camp!
They need to do it during high school camp week!! lolll
That would make the camp week 27582475 times better!
But still even if not, Camp and music hour is still greatness!!

One of the things I used to worry about alot was that “my vioce isn’t good enough” or “I’ll be made fun of” and hardly would sing. But through CN, I’ve been shown that even if you are a horrible singer, God still thinks of it like you’re an amazing singer!

Oh the good ol days!!!! Jeff, Im so glad to see that you are still at Camp Nathanael because you were such a great influence to me. I am now 28 years old with a 2 yr old son, and I think about how he will get to experience camp when he gets old enough too. I enjoyed every year I could go beginning in 3rd grade!!! Lasting memories were made at your camp and I can’t begin to tell you how much I learned about the bible as a young one! Back to the subject….music hour was my favorite of course. I got to sing on the “voice of camp nathanael” two years and oh how special that made me feel! Thank you for the wonderful memories!!! God Bless!
