High School Week A Big Success!
Posted by Jeff on July 5, 2009
Sometimes I’m worried about high school week of camp. As camp director, I know that many of those teenage campers have been here for 5 years or more. We even had two eleven year campers this past week! That’s right. Anyway, when you have that much experience running around they know all the ins and outs of camp.
This year was probably one of the top 5 high school camps that I’ve been a part of in my 19 years here at Camp Nathanael. Gods Spirit was definitely present and many teens became aware of issues in their life that they needed help with. The speaker, Dr. Gary Almon, called them “buzzards” and it seemed to hit home with many of the campers. I also want to thank Steven Bell for leading us in praise and worship this past week. He is pretty much a constant during high school week and we really appreciate him stepping up and leading a cabin group this week as well.
If there are any campers wanting to comment about their week just click below and let us know what you thought of your week.

I had an awesome week at camp. Hilltop chapel on Friday was amazing itself. God’s spirit was definitely there. I couldnt help but break down and cry during the ‘altar call’. God really touched my heart during the week. :)
Oh this is so amazing to hear!! I was definitely praying for you guys and I missed you guys so so much!!! Question Jeff, were the Guillions there this week and was high school week the only week they are going to be at camp???? See ya on Monday!!!
AWESOME i loved camp and so did brittany and rebecca thats all we talk about any more and we cant wait to go back.
High school camp=Greatness. Jadea, Rebecca, and I still can’t go a day without recalling at least one of our amazing camp experiences or camp inside jokes. I have to say that High school camp WAS the best week ever! we soo can’t wait to go back. We’re even counting down til our next camp outtings! 3 more months until our overnighter, and around 5 until our week! like you have noo idea how camp has changed me personally. It’s just an all around amazing place. Plus some of those songs from the DVDs I’ve ended up downloading. Also, we found out the other day that Nathanael means “God Given” and I believe that’s the truth. Can’t wait to go back!! we’ll bring a few more campers with us next time!
Tell Festus I said hey! :)
